Kerman School Receives $5,000 For Library Books | Schools

Assemblymember Henry T. Perea presented a $5,000 check to students and staff at Goldenrod Elementary School in Kerman Tuesday.

The funds are from the 2012 Barona Band of Mission Indians education grant and will be used to purchase 300 new books for the school’s library.

Assemblymember Perea nominated Goldenrod Elementary for the grant.

Teachers say the school is just a year old and still needs help filling the shelves in their library.
