Woman Rescued From Burning Mobile Home

A Fresno police officer and another person are being called heroes after saving the life of an elderly woman.

The woman was rescued from a burning mobile home in West Fresno just before 9 a.m. Friday. This was at the Sunset Mobile Park, near Shields and Highway 99.

The Good Samaritans were some of the first people to arrive at the scene. They rushed into the burning home and pulled the woman out.

The woman suffered second- and third-degree burns and was taken to the hospital. She was last listed in critical condition.

An 80-year-old man in a nearby home was also taken to the hospital after the flames spread. He was treated for smoke inhalation.

The mobile home was destroyed.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
