3 Firefighters Treated After Grass Fire In SW Fresno

Three firefighters were hurt while battling a large grass fire in Southwest Fresno.

Crews were called to the burning field on Valentine Avenue, south of Madison Avenue, around 2 p.m. Wednesday.

A firefighter suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to the hospital. Two other firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion at the scene. All three are expected to be okay.

The fire threatened a few homes in the area, but none of them were damaged. The fire has been contained.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

They happened within 30 minutes of each other and two separate shooters are on the loose.

The first happened around 7:30 p.m. Sunday on Sierra Vista and Church.

A car drove by and after shots were fired, one person was hurt.

The second happened at eight o'clock  the same night on San Pablo and Belmont.

Both victims are at the hospital and are expected to be okay.

There are no descriptions for either suspects.

Deadly Shooting In Southwest Fresno

Deadly Shooting In Southwest Fresno

Police say a man in his 50s is dead after he was shot in Southwest Fresno.

It happened around 3 p.m. Friday at a home near Tuolumne and B streets.

Fresno Police believe the man, who has not been identified, did not live at the home.

Investigators say they've been called to that residence several times.

No other details have been released.

Going Too Fast? SUV Crashes Into Fresno Building

A man is lucky he isn't hurt after crashing his SUV right into a building in West Fresno.

It happened just before 3 p.m. Tuesday near Dakota and Polk.

Fresno Police say the 18-year-old took a turn too fast, lost control, and crashed into Fig Garden Packing.

The building was evacuated. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
